1 USING LAUNDRY BEADS TO DEODORIZE SMELLY CARPETS
Wouldn’t you love to have your home smelling like your freshly washed laundry? Who wouldn’t anyway? This is a tip I learned from a hotel inspector who was very keen on the smell of the rooms.
Her trick to keeping the hotel rooms smelling magnificent was laundry beads. This leaves the hotel room smelling like fresh laundry all day long.
To do this trick simply sprinkle a few of your favorite laundry scented beads in your vacuum bag and vacuum away. Knowing that your carpet will be refreshed will make you enjoy vacuuming your carpet.
2 REMOVING SMOKE ODOR FROM A CARPET
The carpet entertains every odor including smoke. To remove that unwelcoming odor simply combine these ingredients. Combine 1 cup borax with 1 cup baking soda. Sprinkle on the smelly area of the carpet. Let it remain there for 8 hours. Eventually, by walking around for the day the powders will penetrate the bottom. Vacuum the area and your job is done.
Borax is very good at removing bad odors from laundry and cleaning overall. When you need to remove reeking odors baking soda is just the ideal product.
3 MOLDY CARPET ODORS
Have you ever seen a carpet that has spots of a bluish color? This could be mold and this can cause a miserable odor and health problems. To clean mold on carpets doesn’t require a scientist. All you need is a bottle of vodka.
Don’t worry you won’t be drinking it instead your moldy carpet will. Pour the vodka into a spray bottle and mist the moldy carpet. Let this sit for 24 hours. It’s best to clean the carpet afterward to for best results.

4 FRESHEN- UP A SMELLY CARPET FAST
Time can be your worst enemy when your carpet is smelling really musky and the guests are on their way over. The fastest and easiest way to deodorize your smelly carpet is with essential oils.
Grab a bottle of a lovely fragrance essential oil. Sprinkle 5 drops in the crevices of every room that is carpeted. The essential oil has a strong fragrance and will overpower the bad odor.
5 PET PEE & POOP ODORS ON THE CARPET
How do you keep your carpet smelling fresh with pets around? That’s is a good question but with dogs and cats, this can be a bit difficult. Pet accidents will happen and when it happens try doing this.
Pour 1 cup white vinegar into a container then add 4 tablespoons baking soda. Mix well until both ingredients are fully combined. Pour the formula into a small spray bottle and mist the spot where the accident happen. To add an extra touch sprinkle a few drops of citrus essential oil. This will prevent any bad odor from making its appearance.
6 FEBREZE CARPET DEODORIZER

7 STEAMING WITH FRAGRANCES
Steaming your carpet at least once per year is recommended. This will give your carpet a detail deep clean. However, there are added things you can do when steaming that will leave behind a good fragrance on your carpet.
When getting your steamer ready pour in 1/4 cup Lavender Fabuloso Cleaner into the water. Pouring too much of the Fabuloso can cause stickiness so be mindful of the measurements. You will love the amazing fragrance that’ll be left behind.
8 VACUUMING WITH BAKING SODA
The old way of removing bad odors from the carpet is to use baking soda. One way to do this is by treating the carpet with baking soda before vacuuming.
Sprinkle the baking soda on the entire area. Don’t mind the white dusty appearance we’ll get to that shortly. Use the vacuum to vacuum the area starting with the corners while moving slowly towards the center of the room.

When food spills on your carpet the carpet quickly absorbs liquids and odors immediately. To prevent this, quickly wipe away the spill then clean with a dab of dish soap and a damp rag. Avoid using too much dish soap and water as getting the carpet extremely wet can cause a moldy odor.
Carpets are not lovers of shoes. I am simply referring to the shoes you wear outdoor. Have you ever wondered about how much bacteria you take in your home on your shoes? Countless is the answer.
