The fact is, laundry is a full task all to itself that’s if you planned on getting it done the right way. Here you’ll find incredible and smart tips to get your laundry done and to conquer any tough hurdles you may come upon.

1.THE WAY TO BLEACH WHITES

To make your whites eyes shielding. Fill a bucket with warm water, roughly, (3) gallons of warm water. Pour in 1/4 cup bleach and stir the clothes in.

Remove the clothes by gently twisting the water out. Place in a plastic bag overnight. In the morning toss in the washer and wash. Your whites will be snowy white right before your very eyes.

2. HOW TO SOFTEN TOWELS

Let’s pour in the entire bottle of fabric softener, the more the softer my towels will be. That almost left me without towels. Very soon my towels felt fake and gluey. I was using too much fabric softener, or better yet I did not require any at all.

To keep your towels soft and fresh do this. Place your towels in warm water. Now, all you need is 1/2 cup vinegar and a little laundry detergent. The detergent will remove the smell of the vinegar. Not only will your towels be softer but they’ll smell incredible.

3. HOW TO WASH WOOL

To keep your wool from shrinking all you need to do is to follow these steps. Fill a bucket or a sink with cool water. To this add 1/4 cup hair conditioner and one tablespoon mild laundry detergent.

Swirl it around for 2 minutes. Remove and gently squeeze the water out. Place in the dryer on the drain and spin cycle. When it’s all drained, toss in the dryer on fluff and your wool sweater will all good.

4 WHEN TO USE FABRIC SOFTENER

Nothing but a fragrance fabric softener, but did you know that not all clothes are fabric softener worthy. Pouring fabric softener in with stretchy jeans will cause your jeans to lose their elasticity.

Too much fabric softener on towels can also lead to your towels becoming sticky and stiff in the long run.  If you go back to number (3) you’ll see the best way to wash your towels so they remain soft and fresh. SEE HOW TO: Wash And Soften Your Old Musky Bathtowels And Dishtowels

5. HOW TO REMOVE INK STAINS

For spot treatment, place a sheet of paper towel under the stain. Mist the area with hair spray and a slight rub with a cotton ball. Another way to remove ink stain is to apply rubbing alcohol directly to the stained area and gently buff the spot with a damp rag.

If the stain is large, pour the rubbing alcohol into a container and submerge the stained area into it for 20 minutes. Doing any of these will remove the ink stain. Wash or rinse immediately with warm water.

6. HOW TO REMOVE BLOOD STAINS

For blood stains on darker clothes, all you need to remove the blood from your clothes is a bottle of hydrogen peroxide. Pour directly onto the stain let it remain for 15 minutes.

Check to see if the mark is fading, and repeat the process if necessary. Wash separately in warm water. For whites, try to spot treat the item by misting the spot with diluted bleach. Lay the item on a flat surface away from anything that’s not bleachable, so be very careful when applying.

Carefully mist the affected area. Allow to sit for 30 minutes then wash on a regular cycle. However, you chose to dilute the bleach the amount of water must be 5 times the amount of bleach. If the bleach is more than the water this can cause discoloration.

To remove the smelliest of sweat takes only one simple step, soaking. Fill a bucket with warm water pour 2 corks of white vinegar in. Place the sweaty item in the bucket of water and submerge. Allow this to soak for as long as you can. Overnight would be best.

When you’re through soaking remove the item from the water. Squeeze the sweaty water out. Toss in the washer and wash with your favorite laundry detergent and fabric softener.

To strip your towels and bed linens. Fill your bathtub with warm water. Add to this 1/4 cup washing soda, 1/4 cup borax, and a cup or two of laundry detergent.

9. CLOTHES DRYING TIPS

There are many ways to dry your clothes. Some of these are indoor clothes hangers, outdoor clotheslines. For a more natural way, how about the high people method of laying them out on the grass.

To dry your clothes on a hanger use clothespins to hold the clothing onto the hanger. Hang this in the house near to a window or on the patio, or even outdoor to be dried naturally. Outdoor clotheslines require installing an outdoor clothesline. This will need clothespins to keep the clothes from falling on the ground.

This is a longer drying process but will protect the color of your clothes. Laying the clothes out on the grass seems pretty old- fashioned but this is another way to dry your clothes if you’re living in a secluded area. The most modern way is to toss them into a dryer.

You can never go wrong with Dawn dish soap. This is the best at removing urine stains on clothes. Make a mixture of 2 tablespoons Dawn dish soap with 1 tablespoon washing soda.

12. THE REASON YOU HAVE LINT

If you’re concerned about lint on your clothes then we’re all in the same boat. This was until I found out that it’s actually how we wash our clothes that cause lint. There are some clothes that attract lint more than others. You have to get to know your materials.

To avoid lint never wash your rags and towels with your regular clothes or your sheets. These types of linens carry a lot of lint which will gladly attach themselves to your other pieces. Whether drying or washing, avoid mixing these together in order to have lint-free clothes.
