STEP 1. REMOVE THE TRASH
To clean any room in your home the first thing is to remove all trash. These could be old clothes, decorations, clutter lying around, things that are not in use, food, shoe boxes, bags etc.
STEP 2. SEPARATE IN ZONES
Zoning is separating an area into small sections. This is the easiest way to get your home organized and clean. Figure out which room in the home you want to begin with. The kitchen would be the best.
STEP 3. CLEANING AND ORGANIZING THE KITCHEN
Simply remove all unused items in the fridge, cabinets and countertops and toss them in the bin. Then remove the others that will be placed back, clean the countertops along with the appliances using awesome smelling cleaners except for the fridge.
Only use vinegar and baking soda to clean the refrigerator OR microwave. The floor should be the last place to be cleaned after all items are replaced.
CLEANING THE FLOOR…
If the floor is tiled or wooden then simply pour 2 gallons of warm water into a bucket. Pour in 1/4 cup white vinegar then use a clean mop to wipe the floor. Repeat the process with a clean mop for a perfect clean.
STEP 4.ORGANIZING THE KITCHEN
This is pretty simple, your kitchen is your personal area so its hard for someone to tell you where to put everything you have. A good way to organize your kitchen is to keep similar items together.
For example, pots, skillets, dining utensils, cooking utensils, plates, teacups, and even your groceries all of these items must be groups. This makes it easy for you to find everything in your kitchen and it will look organized.
STEP 5. TO THE BATHROOM
Your bathroom can be a beautiful place if cleaned and organized. As it is with the kitchen, only keep things you really need. That means getting rid of anything you may consider junk.
Remove everything from the countertops and clean with a cleaner. Use a strong stain remover (vinegar or diluted bleach combine with warm water) to clean the shower and the toilet. Wash the bathroom trash can thoroughly this can get really smelly.
Organize the stuff in the cupboards and place everything in its group. Before you do this, clear and wipe the cupboard then replace these items. Keep only things you used in the bathroom in the bathroom.
STEP 6. THE BEDROOMS
The first thing is to strip the beds. After doing this organize the clothes and shoes that are out of place. Find a home for every item you have starting in the closet. This also means getting rid of unnecessary items.
Dusting… When you dust, dust from top to bottom. Move on to making the bed with clean linens. Then go back to cleaning the furniture only this time using furniture polish.
This way of dusting is to prevent dust from the linen from being embedded on the furniture when you’re through cleaning the room.
For wooden furniture, WD-40 or BABY OIL can be used on these to make them glow. For glass furniture, a simple glass cleaner or rubbing alcohol will do just fine.
The last place to clean is the floor. Use a regular floor cleaner for wooden and tile floors. For a carpeted floor, all that’s needed is your vacuum.
If the carpet smells add a few LAUNDRY ODOR BOOSTER in the bag and vacuum away. This will make your carpet has an amazing fragrance. You can also sprinkle baking soda on the carpet to remove bad odors.
STEP 7. THE LIVING AREA
The last and what should be the easiest place in your home to clean is the LIVING ROOM. Begin by checking the sofa and dusting the chairs. Remove all decors from tables and tv stands.
Dusting the furniture and polishing would be your next step. Place your ornaments and decors back in place. Keep the sofas free from anything that doesn’t belong there such as books and bags.
To keep your sofa free from straying items, an end table is what is needed. These are pretty cheap and come in different shapes and sizes. Keeping an end table beside each sofa will keep things organized a bit.
Vacuum the floor or mop using the same floor cleaning method we used before. These are the basic steps to deep clean and organize your home. As you can see its really not that hard to do.
