FIRST ON THE TODOS

The first thing to do when you enter your bathroom is to clear everything out in including towels, toilet papers, soaps, etc. Start with treating the toilet. Most times these are stained so treating will give as much time for the stain to weaken.

1.Mist the outer area of the toilet with vinegar. For the bowl, you want to pour 1/4 cup vinegar in. Pour in just a dab of Dawn dish soap and swish with the toilet brush. Let this remain. Move onto the shower, make a paste of 1/2 cup baking soda and vinegar combine well. Use this solution to paste onto the walls and the tub.

2.Go over to the basin using the sponge clean here with Dawn dish soap. Ensure to wash the faucets. I hate when these are covered with toothpaste backsplash. The dish soap will clean these thoroughly. Use the cleaning cloth to rinse the basin and counter with warm water.

3.Use this same dish soap and warm water to semi-wash the mirrors. Then use warm water to clear the suds. Go Back to the shower, use the toothbrush to scrub in between the tiles.

When that is done use the wet sponge with a dab of Dawn dish soap to wash the walls first, slowly moving down to the tub.

4. Rinse the shower with warm water. You can use a small container to pour the water on. This will run downwards taking the loose residues with it, or you can use the shower itself to point onto the walls. When this is done go back to the toilet.

5.Wash the bowl with the toilet brush thoroughly. Getting into the inner covers of the bowl. Flush and check to see if any marks are remaining. Move on to the outer area of the bowl. This area needs to be cleaned with a sponge and a little dish soap.

6.Focus on the back area of the toilet seat. That’s the part at the back that’s screwed on. Here can be very dirty and grimy. Move your focus to the part where the crews are on the floor. Check for hair and any other unlikely particles there.

7.Use a clean cleaning rag to wipe the outer area to remove the germy residues. Don’t worry about how it looks now when all is done you’ll be smiling. Use a dry cleaning rag to dry the basin and the counter. Use the same cleaning rag to dry the shower. Then move on to drying the outer area of the toilet.

8.In this process, you want to see a glow coming so continue to wipe with a dry rag. Use the WD-40 to mist the sink faucets and those in the shower. Use a paper towel to shine the faucets.

WD-40 is perfect on shower tiles. After washing and drying the tiles simply mist with WD-40 and shine with a sheet of dry paper towel. You won’t believe what you’ll see unfolding before your very eyes.

9.The last place to clean is the floor. First sweep the floor, then use a clean damp mop or damp cloth to wipe. At this point, if prefer, you can add a floor cleaner, Pine-Sol works great and will leave a wonderful smell.

For floors with grout use a sponge or a toothbrush to scrub the area using the same baking soda and vinegar paste. Allow the paste to remain on the floor to penetrate for 10 minutes.

Then return to give it its finishing touch with a damp cloth or damp mop. Rinse the mop and give the floor a second wipe with the mop for a radiant finish.

11.Replace all the dirty linens with clean ones including the shower curtain. Don’t forget your soaps, tissues, towels, and washcloth. If the mirror is dry.

Use a dry cloth to shine mirrors or a sheet of newspaper. This will make your mirror looks like a crystal. If you’re wondering what was the fabric softener’s purpose, it’s coming up soon.

12.When everything is replaced, check the shower for hair and any other particles. Pour a little of the fabric softener on a cloth and swiftly wipe over the walls. Pour around a cup of fabric softener in the tank. This will make your bathroom smell amazing when the toilet is flushed.

That is all for Grandma’s bathroom deep cleaning tips. Have fun cleaning and see you soon.
